According to the story, he is still alive and turned into something bizarre so reading the datacubes I got the impression that you're actually killing Vykromod by destroyin' those bodyparts. You ALWAYS get the bonus levels, no matter how good/bad you were on the previous levels? Like, that Galaga-style bonus level in Episode 1, or Episode 2 bonus levels if you chose NOT to go to "GEM WAR"? So, bonus levels are always reachable, you don't have to earn them? I remember a secret hint saying that by maximizing your score you can go from one bonus level to another (or I mite have misunderstood sumthin) Tyrian takes place before or after our current age?
